2008 World Series of Poker Update – June 25, 2008

We have another 2008 World Series of Poker update. With 41 events in the book as of today, the WSOP has awarded over $86 Million in total prize money. Today also marks the start of one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year – the $50,000 buy-in World Championship H.O.R.S.E. event. This is the one that the pros really want to win as most see the Main Event as a crapshoot with so many players vying for the title.

H.O.R.S.E. is made up of rounds of the following 5 games; Hold’em, Omaha, Razz, 7-Card Stud and 8-or-Better Stud. Since the winner will have to show mastery of 5 different games, most consider this event as the one that crowns the very best poker player.
